Entrepreneur’s failures are viewed positively in the USA

It seems paradoxical, but that’s the way it is. In the USA, an entrepreneur’s previous failures are viewed positively when it comes to evaluating a new idea, project or company.

Many venture capital investors take this previous experience into account. They seek entrepreneurs who have had one or two failures in their life.

Let’s just say that a new entrepreneur who has no negative previous experiences is more likely to fail than another who has experienced failure.

The leading champion of this idea is Eudald Domènech, a successful Internet businessman, founder of Servicom and Telepolis.

Statements he has made, such as A failure is new information which must help you to find the road to success.” have become famous.

If you think about, there is a certain logic to it: behind the great successes there were first great failures.

Failures bring an entrepreneur highly valuable knowledge and experience for tackling new ideas and projects. As the Failbeta slogan says, “My reputation grows with each failure.”
